the West Adelaide Football club is excited to welcome Justin Schultz as our new High Performance Manager.

Will Snelling delisted. Would he be any chance of coming back to the bloods?

Re: Ins and Outs 2024
Tozer played Amatuers this year for Prince Alfred after leaving Norwood.
From all reports, was a very talented junior but struggled with injury.
Let’s hope he can make an impact. We desperately need a key forward / ruck option.

Re: Ins and Outs 2024
We’re pleased to announce the signing of Brady Searle for the 2024 season.
Brady comes to us from Glenelg Football Club, he is an inside midfielder who thrives in the contest, is tough and has good skills by hand and foot.
Brady strengthens our midfield, comes with a lot of experience so we are excited to see him play great footy for us next year.
Paul Streatfield, Head of Football had this to say about the signing of Brady Searle:
“We are thrilled to welcome Brady to the club. One of our focus areas has been to strengthen our midfield, and Brady brings valuable experience to this area for us. Brady has shown that he is more than capable at the level, he comes to us from a successful environment and we look forward to seeing him mix with our existing group”.
“Brady is a player we have been looking at for quite some time. He is a quality person and aligns with the values of our club. We look forward to Brady commencing training with us this week”.
Welcome to the Bloods Searley!

Agreed - but there is still this to come - the pre-season supplementary selection period. Which is open from 9am AEDT on Monday, November 27 2023 and run across the pre-season before the deadline at 5pm AEDT on Monday, February 19 2024 - Oscar Steene went to Collingwood last year.Oldfella wrote:South Australia under-18 captain Will Patton was the shock draft omission ---- wow ==== very bad luck for the young man but good for us

To say I’m disappointed is an understatement.
If there was one player I thought would come back to the club it would’ve been Will.

Re: Ins and Outs 2024
Fair Enough.
Happy to be proven wrong.
However, it’s disappointing that a Premiership Player would choose another club to play for.

Re: Ins and Outs 2024
Surely we are going to announce more signings?????
We have recruited 2 new payers so far.
Once again we are behind most of the other clubs in recruiting.

Was hoping we might have got snelling, so agree the lack of signings is pretty ordinary but standard these days at Richmond.

Re: Ins and Outs 2024
I agree we need 2 or 3 key position players. That said I like what I saw last season with our "baby bloods". These young kids will only get better so all is not lost. Harts is also coaching very well and has them playing for him.
We will win more games this year I am confident of that.

Re: Ins and Outs 2024
As for Scott Welsh going to the Eagles at the end of his career. He did us a favour in my view.
His body was stuffed and he only played a few games. Injured most of the season. I reckon he knew that and if the Eagles were silly enough to throw $'s at him why not? If he saw his career out with us we would have been playing with a man down and using up salary cap.

Re: Ins and Outs 2024
I’m really hoping the club will announce a couple of good recruits very soon.
So far our Recruiting has been very very underwhelming.
Right now based on who we’ve lost and gained and given where we finished last year 2024 could once again be a very long season.
I’ve been posting similar posts at this time of the year for the past 5 years
