What changes do we make?

Maguire presumably out with a hammy. I'd bring in Ed Allan for him.
I'd also bring in Taverner for Rana (he should be fit enough to ruck for half a game, McKenzie to ruck the remainder), and Levicki for Ellam, Levicki to the back half and Keough goes forward.

How far away is Kaine Stevens?
I agree, Allan for Maguire. Levicki for Ellem. Keough has to go forward this week.
Watched the 2s against Glenelg. Both of our rucks were fairly ordinary.
Taverner and Babic did not get 1 kick between them.
Maybe Taverner needs another week in the 2s.

I thought our talls against Glenelg were very poor with the exception of McKenzie when he went into the Ruck. I also thought we were one tall short, however Ellem will be dropped and Levicki will return to play in defence.
Keough will play forward and I would also move Duvall into the forward line as well. We need to find a player who can take a mark in the F50.

If Stevens is available I would bring him straight in, if not Allan should get the nod to replace Maguire.
Our Ressies were really disappointing but for balance Taverner should replace Rana in the league side.

One thing I would do in the ressies would be to play Rana as a Key Forward for the whole game with Babic and Faulkner to ruck.
Surprisingly Faulkner missed selection along with Patterson, Gilbert, Kelly,
Bock and Forbes in the ressies last week.
All of these kids are our future and to me they should be playing ahead of Taylor,Kirk,Wilson to name a few.

I like the idea of trying Duvall up forward.

Aldo
Cheers mate. I think we need to try something different in our forward line. If Keough moves to the forward line as we think the opposition will surely know Most of our forward moves will be directed at him.
We need to be less predictable and playing Duvall forward gives us a different look.
Keough doesn’t take Pack Marks, he’s more one on one.

At some point during the year we need to bring another tall into the side.

We need to develop a key forward if we are going to be more competitive and that’s why I would play Rana in that role all year either in the ressies or league.
Ellem was poor against Glenelg and his overhead marking needs work, he continually double grabs and that’s due to his hands.

Babic and Faulkner can Ruck in the Ressies and Tavener and McKenzie in the league side.

This is a must win game despite it being only Round 2. Our Mids were beaten last week and they simply need to find more of the ball.

Interestingly young Nick Steele has been named on the interchange bench, he did some good things in the reserves trials. He isn’t big enough to play as a Key Forward. Does Ellem remain in the side or does Dunkin get squeezed out. Dunkin seems on the outer.
Ellem was poor last week, but for team balance he may stay in the side.

We do need to find more goal kickers and that’s why Steele has been named.
I can’t see Maguire or May playing due to injury.

Agree. Only early but we need to win this game!
Crows team looks a bit thin with the injuries they have.
Some of our more experienced players were poor last week and need to lift!!

Even allowing for one or two emergencies coming back, this looks the weakest Crows team ever.

The fact we lost by only a goal is unbelievable.
A lot of supporters are getting fed up with the crap that we produce week in week out, year after year.
Our inability to defend today was as bad as I’ve seen.
The Crows were able to move the ball from a kick in to their forward line with absolute ease.
2 games in but it’s looking like another season at the bottom of the ladder!!!!

Today I saw some moments of great skill and endeavour from our guys today (and some poor moments)
We are playing better than the previous 2 years.

We were beaten by a side with plenty of top up players!
We had more kicks, handballs and marks than them and we had 10 more inside 50s!!!
We over use the ball and were horribly indirect.
Our skills are really ordinary.
Whilst we lost by a kick, it’s hard to find any positives.
Bring in Anderson and Redfern from the 2s. They are both hard at the contest!
Kaine Stevens too!!

Two games in and nothing to get excited about.
Look undersized, under skilled and generally very messy to watch.
Crows were very average and we lost, looking like yet another long season down the bottom on what I have seen. That was painful to watch, like a slow moving train crash with a fairly predictable outcome.
