West Adelaide star Jason Porplyzia is expected to be fit for Round 1 despite suffering a compound dislocation of his thumb against Sturt last Friday night.
Despite the former Crow being ruled out of Friday night’s trial match against Glenelg at City Mazda Stadium, Bloods officials are confident Porplyzia will face the Eagles on April 11.
‘’We’re very hopeful he will be available for Round 1,’’ West football manager Andrew Marks said.
Bigman Daniel Webb will play his first full match of the season in the reserves after playing a half against the Double Blues last week.

Good to see Aaron Francis promoted. That makes 4 of last year's Under 18 premiership side in the team now.

There will be more, IMO.

Jonno Beech not playing, but will be OK for next week.

Aaron Sharpe is from Central Australia, whosoeva. He has trained with us recently and isn't eligible to play in the Reserves this week. The Recruiting Committee is constantly looking for players to keep improving our squad,

We knew when we recruited Ben Klemke that he'd had a shoulder operation in the early pre-season, so we weren't expecting him to be ready for Round 1. He's close to being ready and he's a highly recommended key position player, an area we need to boost.
