On a quick look, Tom Keough is an in, also Babic, Rubock, Carmichael, Gore and some others.

Outs include Marslen.

Haysman and Allan have been dropped. Both were very poor last week.
I hope Haysman can recapture his form. A premiership player in 15, his football has gone backwards.
Good to see some of the recruits get a chance!

Is there a reason for this? Given it is our last hit out.

A much better performance today, compared to last week!!
Carmichael looks like a good pick up and he kicked a couple of goals.
Couroupis also looks good. He kicks the ball well.
The difference was the forward lines. Glenelg have so many gun forwards in McBean,Hosie and Reynolds and they were too good.
At least plenty of positives to take away from the hitout.
Hartlett, Beech, Ryan, and Gore will improve our side in two weeks time.

Lost by a few points, but a much better effort. Carmichael is a very good player. I only saw the first half, but liked Redfern, Couroupis & one or two others.

Hard to judge as it was a trial and not huge pressure, but a good competitive hit out.

I didn't know many of the players and there were no players' lists available.

An improved performance yesterday and whilst it was only a trial game I like the way we played.
Our style of play was much better, we moved the ball and we’re prepared to take risks.

I have seen Carmichael three times now and he’s a good player. He has confidence in his own ability and his 2 goals we’re fantastic. He was good in the centre square as well.
Mitch Maguire has been good the past 2 weeks, he just lacks a yard of pace, but he’s improving.
Couroupis looks every bit a league player he makes good decisions and is a sound kick.
Rubock has real pace and he showed something yesterday, he has a little bit of X factor.
He good also play on the wing.

We did lack a key forward who good bust the packs.Lemmey and Ellam are very similar  players.
I really think Ellam needs a spell in the ressies and perhaps they should try him on a wing or in defence. I would play Marslen ahead of him in the first game. Corbett is another player who can bust a pack, but he will start in the ressies.
Redfern did some nice things and Boyle was much better.

It’s going to be interesting to see what we do in Ruck for the first game. Walters will play ressies due not playing a Trial match.
Cleeland was good last week and Babic did the bulk of the Ruck work yesterday. He won a number of Centre square taps but he does very little else.

The ressies were good yesterday a young kid by the name of Obst was impressive along with Laudato,May and Sinderberry, who only played a half. McKenzie, Steene and Marslen did a few things as well.

Our midfield was much better this week. Carmichael was terrific and his penetrating kicking is a real advantage. He and Joel Stevens give us some much needed size in the midfield, along with Meline. Probably the best I've seen Maguire play for us, despite burning it a couple of times which is unusual for him.

Couroupis is also a certain starter for round 1, again his kicking is a feature and he should be taking all our kick ins.
I thought Babic rucked really well. He's going to be hard to outreach for the ball so if we can read his taps a bit better that could be a big advantage.

Our other talls were pretty disappointing. I can't recall Lemmey, Keough or Ellem taking a contested mark between them, while up the other end their forwards murdered us. Hosie kicked about 4 and could easily have had 7. I'm not sure we have a good match up for him right now, perhaps Park or Delahunty when fit.
Squire was also good on ball and he's such a strong mark overhead I think we should play him as a Shannon Green style small forward when not on the ball.
Selection will be very interesting for round 1.
