Re: Andrew Hayes sign with the Bloods
Good signing, gives us a key defender.
Andrew looks very fit and should be a plus as we add to our squad.
Welcome to the Bloods, Andrew.

R&B
I'm thinking that Hayes will play a similar role to Mangan?
He needs to stay on the park as he has been injury prone the past 2 years.

Re: Andrew Hayes sign with the Bloods
Andrew Hayes is 27yo (possibly 28?) and 190cm. This makes him a little shorter than Brad Mangan (192) and the same as Travis Tuck. Will be interesting to see where he plays but wherever, he has big shoes to fill in a backline missing Tippett, Ferguson and Mangan.

Re: Andrew Hayes sign with the Bloods
Hayes played as the third tall defender for most of the time he spent at Centrals. He went forward on occasions as well
Don't see him playing CHB or FB

Re: Andrew Hayes sign with the Bloods
Didn't fire a shot at Port due to injury.
Bit of a gamble but if he stays on the park will be a good get. We certainly have a few holes to fill.

Cheap transfer fee being a former magpie is a plus but hopefully only on base wages

Re: Andrew Hayes sign with the Bloods
As stated above - Mangans position
Now we need a Full Back and CHB
I'd love us to make a play for Waldhutter of CDFC

Re: Andrew Hayes sign with the Bloods
Most, but not all, SANFL players would be contracted by now, I'd think.

Re: Andrew Hayes sign with the Bloods
We can only recruit 1 more player before mid December due to our ban. After that we can sign as many as we want. May need to be patient on the news until the new year.

Re: Andrew Hayes sign with the Bloods
Lets not get too caught up by the loss of defenders. Hopefully we are playing a style where the ball actually goes forward.
Opps that right we don't have forwards either.
That's where the action should be so I'll wait to see what happens
