The Coach

His contract is up at the end of this season, i don't want his tenure extended.

I had high hopes when he signed on, I thought that he would've been a bit old school and not just another wannabe AFL coach. His proclamation of bringing a more attacking game style has turned out to be no more then lip service.
By the end of his 2 year term it is likely that he will be averaging 1 win a season!
Totally unacceptable.

There were two final options for the Coach appointment.

Without taking anything away from Brad, the other option was, IMO, absolutely perfect.

I think most of us on here would have been happy with the appointment of Brad Gotch at the time.
At the time, I was. He was experienced and did a good job with South.
However, fast forward 18 months and it hasn’t worked.
Our skill level hasn’t improved.
Players haven’t improved.
The way we play is terrible.
It’s time to find another coach!

It’s fair to say everyone involved at the club including Gotch would know he want be offered a contract extension next year.

Adam Hartlett may want to coach us next year and he may well be the right person, however I would be searching the country for the best candidate.
