Season 2022
The fixture is out. Sturt at home in round 1. Hopefully we actually score a goal against them this time around
I think the 2 country games are a great idea.
Not expecting much from the season. Hopefully we are competitive and can win 7 or 8 games.

I'll be happy if we avoid the 2022 wooden spoon. (fingers crossed!)

Re: Season 2022
APRIL 1 . April fools day. Can’t help but see the irony of the SANFL
announcing the two AFL clubs (power and crows) kick starting the 2022 SANFL season.
To be led by the nose as asses are.

Heard on the grape vine that one of our recruits refused to get vaccinated so will not play in 2022….

If true, let's hope it's not one of our major recruits.

If true, it might also mean, that our interview process is lacking at least one salient question?

Ronald Fejo has been cut from Essendon's train-on list. Hope we see him back running around for us.

Re: Season 2022
Interesting chat on SAFooty Net - "Kye Roberts had expected to line up with West Adelaide in the SANFL in 2022 but has instead signed with Port Adelaide as a SANFL contracted player after a special arrangement between the clubs.
Under the SANFL’s rookie program, Roberts will go back to play for the Bloods if not selected for the Magpies.
The 18-year-old also gets to train with Port Adelaide’s AFL side once per week to help with his development."
Any of this fact - and if so - what is the official line if he is dropped by The Magpies and so comes back to Westies - where can he play - league or reserves? What happens if that first game back is against Port?

Was there an internal trial or similar this weekend?

I'm told no Lee. Two games against opponents doesn't seem like a lot to base your Round 1 selections on.

Surprising, but hope they show something next week in the trial.
