Mid Season Draft

West need to hold there own mid season draft and recruit a couple of forwards.

I guess the club was hoping that Ellem would have improved as the key forward. So far he has been disappointing despite playing every league game. It’s also unfortunate that Lovell has been injured and Maguire hasn’t found form.

I would think that Mitch Duval and Josh Gore would be the only 2 players that may be selected in the MSD on June 2.

I don't think we'll lose anyone. Just a guess, but one other club may be very hard hit, though and another lose a key player.

I saw today at least 8 have nominated for the mid season draft

Have heard on the grape vine that Mitch Duval and Josh Gore will be selected in the MSD next week....

I'd be very surprised if that happened, so hope not.

Reckon Knoll, Knight, Jack Hayes and Stengle might go, though.

The Age today reports that St Kilda is interested in Duval, and Essendon have spoken to Gore.

Knoll failed his fitness test, so will stay.

Duval and Gore will be selected tonight.

Along with 15 other Bloods players. Who knew we had so much talent at the club.

It is obvious many players from all clubs put their names in for the draft mostly on hope rather than any rational assessment on their own ability or form.
I suppose no one can blame them but it is amazing how many others get sucked into this dream.
