Re: Jimmy Ezard Retires
Wishing Jimmy all the best for the future. He's been a great player for our Club.
I noticed that someone posted this article on another Forum which states that Schmidt will relocate to Darwin. I hope this is just for the NTFL season and he'll be back with us next season?

for the West Adelaide Football Club.

Quality human and a wonderful example to the younger players on persistence & resilience. Just hope the club utilises his experience and knowledge with the talent coming through. Jim would make a wonderful junior coach.

Well done Jimmy on a fantastic career. Not many SANFL players finish up with a Magarey medal to their name. Great effort.

Yes Jimmy thanks for your contribution to the WAFC.
I always enjoyed watching you play and if you stay in Adelaide hopefully the club can utilise your football knowledge and experience in some capacity.

Re: Jimmy Ezard Retires
In the last minute or so of today's reserves game, Jimmy ran down and applied a tough hard tackle on a Norwood defender. He was duly rewarded with the free kick.
It was a classic example of how he played every game and every minute of every game. And this in the last minute of his last game, a champion, in a reserves game.
I hope the club has video of this as an example to every player.
Champion to the last.
I hope his shoulder survived his tackle!
