How much will we win by this week.
Is Hardy going to be fit.
Will the team just be lasts year under 18 team.
Can we kick 100 points.

A hint of sarcasm perhaps ST?
Would be surprised if we got up but dont think we will get pumped either.

Re: WEST v EAGLES
Hopefully we will surprise our opposition. If we were playing at CMS I wouldn't hesitate to tip us but Woodville is a different ball game.
Having said that I think we are capable of starting the season in a positive manner with a win. By how much I'm not sure.
Hardy won't be ready & I think there will be 2 U18's picked. Snelling & either Haysman or Watchman depending on balance.
We will need to kick 100 points to beat them.

Re: WEST v EAGLES
Agostino should be the first under 18 picked and I wouldn't think that Watchman is quite ready yet.

Sorry I forgot the young number one from Renmark. You're right ST he is a beauty & should be picked in round one. His skill & composure has been excellent in the trials.
On reflection I also don't think Jesse is quite ready yet.
On that basis Snelling & Agostino should be in.

Re: WEST v EAGLES
Snelling, Haysman and Agostino have all been excellent, as has Jesse Watchman and I think Brett Turner also.
I think at least 3 of them will play, but the nice thing is there will be several very unlucky players when the sides are named.

Mind you we still have to play the Bays on Feb 27 first, according to the website.

I'm pleased to see so many of the U18s from last year.
Francis, Haysman, Watchman, Snelling, Agostino all could play. I'd like to see Brind too.

Anything can be achieved by anyone with a polite request BUNDY. Check the website now.
Re Luke09 my ranking for all those juniors is 1: Snelling 2: Agostino 3: Francis (when available) 4: Haysman or Watchman depending on balance 5: Brindy

Bundy might be right I think MP because that approach hasn't worked for me. Maybe I'm not polite enough. Well done though.
It'd be quite something to play really attractive footy on Saturday and win. It would get the place buzzing I think.

You forgot Turner in your list. I think he would be ahead of Watchman. Mind you they play different positions

No worries BUNDY & Aldo. Always friendly & happy to oblige where possible. It is amazing what one can get done when you flutter your eyelids.
Re Lee pointing out Brindy at 6 not 5. It is good to see your maths are spot on as our Finance Director Lee. Well done.

Re: WEST v EAGLES
Yes Lachlan Brett Turner is a good prospect as well as Vick & Halliday but personally I think they might be behind the rest.
I hope I am wrong for their sakes. We certainly have not only more depth this year but youthful depth which is even better when it comes to injuries & recovery times.
I love the enthusiasm, speed & skill they all bring to the senior group. Also they are not afraid to have a crack at the hard ball with all prepared to put their head in the hole. (So to speak)

Re: WEST v EAGLES
West Adelaide will blood four local products for its season-opening match against Woodville-West Torrens at Maughan Thiem Hyundai Oval on Saturday.
Along with NT Thunder recruit Errin Wasley-Black, Will Snelling, Hugh Haysman, Jack Agostino and Brett Turner – all graduates of the club’s junior program – are in line to play their first league match.
‘’It’s very exciting for us as a club,’’ West football manager Andrew Marks said.
‘’Four of the guys have come through our junior system which gives us great confidence we can develop our young talent into being senior footballers.’’
Midfielder Snelling (175cm and 70kg) is arguably the most exciting prospect given his performance in last year’s Macca’s Cup Grand Final and the SA Under-18 trial match in February.
But Haysman (177cm and 74kg), Agostino (179cm and 69kg) and Turner make up a quartet of talented teenagers Bloods fans can follow with interest.
Mature-age Wasley-Black (189cm and 83kg) boasts a booming left-foot kick which will be used as a weapon off half-back and the wing.
League
F: Beech, Hardy, Porplyzia
HF: Fielke, Milne, Silverlock
C: Wasley-Black, Schmidt, Haysman
HB: Hill, Keough, Green
B: Ezard, Hartlett, Agostino
R: Willits, Tuck, Snelling
INT: Webb, Stevens, Turner, Helbig, Schiller

Solly, Wong, Newell, Head, Anderson, Hopton, Klemke, Watchman, Nelson, Jennings, Vick, Ahmat-Watkins, Schott, Favretto, Dijksman, Holliday, Johnson, Cua, Fitzpatrick, Dodds-Watson, Turner, Hampton, Westhoff.
Under-18

Nelson should be in the league and Caire might not get his back pocket back off Agostino.

Nelson is our 3rd choice ruckman now. He needs to show alot of improvement to get another shot at the league team ruck duties.

Re: WEST v EAGLES
Pete Nelson will get his chance in due course when he plays strong consistent footy & Caire will also get back. Daniel has been a regular quality defender who played State footy last year & has always polled well in our B&F.
Isn't it great though that we now have this selection dilemma. The quality youth is creating a few headaches for our selection team.
Development starting to pay dividends. Go Bloods!!!
