WEST V Norwood.
Any changes this week?
Didn't see the reserves match today but the score suggests nothing good happened.
Birss and Hardy in maybe.

Re: WEST V Norwood.
The Reserves were well beaten today, but Shane Birss was probably our best player and is looking good to return to the League side. The ball didn't get near Justin Hardy up forward in the first half, but he looked pretty good in defence after that.

Re: WEST V Norwood.
Shane Birss looked terrific yesterday and must be close to league selection, no one else comes to mind.
Good to see Nick Homburg back after being sidelined with a foot injury.

Re: WEST V Norwood.
Also good to see Michael Bennett in the best players. He dominated the ruck and looks as if lachlan might at last get his wish

Re: WEST V Norwood.
I'd say Hardy would come under strong consideration.
Wouldn't be surprised to see a couple of the more promising juniors play Reserves, but that's just a guess.

Re: WEST V Norwood.
Hardy has to play as I don't think Hayes will play due to injury.
Great to see Bennett get in the best players yesterday.
Birss will come in for Schmidt

I forgot to mention Bennett, silly of me, he did get a lot of taps and looks promising and I hope he continues to show improvement.

West Adelaide will unveil star recruit Justin Hardy against Norwood at City Mazda Stadium on Friday night.
Hardy, who has spent the past three weeks in the reserves, has been steadily building match fitness after undergoing pre-season knee surgery.
‘’Justin is a big strong player who will create space for smaller players in the forward line,’’ West football services manager Andrew Marks said of the Ken Farmer Medallist.
‘’His strength is his marking but he also provides us with some versatility as we can also throw him into defence if we need to.’’
Ruckman Peter Nelson has earned a recall while Lachlan Jennings and Ryan Dijksman have been added to the Bloods’ extended interchange bench.
Captain Chris Schmidt will miss two matches after being suspended for striking Glenelg’s Josh Woodall while former Magpie Andrew Hayes has strained his hamstring.
