He would still do a better job than the last person we had, in fact anyone could do a better job from what I’ve heard.

Site rules don't allow personal attacks on staff and volunteers. However, we also agree that there is a fine line to be negotiated at such times and we shouldn't restrict free speech and opinion.
The club is doing it tough right now, but criticism is certainly valid.
If posters could keep in mind that comments should be constructive, where possible, or backed up with facts or reason, it would raise the tone of the discussion and perhaps lead to a better result. Purely destructive criticism helps nobody.
Thanks to a couple of posters for their feedback, which has been helpful.
Let's have a good discussion on our current situation.
