Are we still a chance to recruit a player or two?
I find it hard to believe that we have only recruited one ready made league player (Stubbs) and one ( Hagan ) who might play league.
Why has our recruiting been this bad???

Not for the want of trying WP. MM knows what he wants but they are not falling out of trees.

We have been very active in recruiting but have had little luck.

A couple of really good recruits who we were close to signing decided at the last minute to stay where they are & some have simply wanted too much money. At least these guys won't be playing against us in the SANFL.

Don't lose sight of the fact that we didn't know how much money we had left in our cap until after the Rookie Draft late November. This also made it very difficult.

In the case of some other SANFL clubs, several of their recruits had played with them in previous seasons so it is a lot easier to get them back. There are not too many new names coming into the system.

As ST has said it opens more doors for our own young players who haven't yet made it at League level.

Having said all that we are still trying hard.
