Round 2 West v Port
I hope there are some unforced changes this week. There's no time left to be patient with players who have plenty of games under their belt but who continue to offer very little.
At the least I'd like to see Obst and Dylan White come in.

Ah well.
Wyatt Ryan might be an outside chance to debut given that there's not really a 2nd ruckman in the side, unless they ruck Ned Stevens.

The Port team looks pretty weak to me, apart from ruck?
Big chance to get a win on the board.

Re: Round 2 West v Port
Our forward line lacks tall marking options.
I think they will use Ned Stevens as the 2nd Ruck.
Sinderberry played forward against the Eagles and looked all at sea.
Other than Josh Ryan our KPP stocks are very very ordinary.

Re: Round 2 West v Port
It’s hard to gauge what sort of performance the AFL reserves sides will put up each week.
I think they have a pretty healthy squad at the moment so their reserve side is strong.
Without Park, Gore, Ellem and Squire we look really light on for talent across the ground.
It’s a big ask to think Sinderberry and Patton can hold down CHF and CHB.
To be honest, only the Ryan’s x 2 and Frost are A Grade players in our side.

Thanks, I'm surprised. I didn't know some of the names and thought they were top-ups.

Why are we kicking short, kick it long, we dont seem to be able to get the ball over half back, chaos going into our forward line, only half time, lets see what the next half brings, suprising, scores are still close.

Re: Round 2 West v Port
Harts has worked out a good game plan to offset the lack of high-end talent.
Plenty of numbers in dege ce to restrict scoring, then rum fofeard of the ball on rebound or opposition errors.
3/4 time, big chance, fingers crossed.

A brave win, twice nearly out of the game, twice kicked quick multiple goals.
Smashed in hitouts, but still got up. Good signs from some young players.

Lee,
Spot on about the game plan. A very brave win that’s for sure.
Kobe Ryan outstanding as was Isaac Johnson.
First gamer Dylan White did some good things as well.
Very pleasing win. Adam Hartlett can really coach and given the players at his disposal he’s doing a great job.
We won today without Park, Gore,Corbett,Squire and Ellam.

Re: Round 2 West v Port
We were noticeably more physical against Port I thought. And to overrun a side in the last quarter which had so many AFL listed players, on a pretty warm day, was very impressive. Also, I don't think we turned the ball over once in the final quarter, which does make a difference.
The defence were really good. Patton was very good, Minchella spoilt effectively all day and looked more determined, Meline was very prominent and Jordan White looks like an established player. Great debut by Dylan White too. McCormick is a very dangerous forward, and could easily have kicked 5 goals. He needs to tidy up his goal kicking and he'll be very influential. May, Kregar and Maguire struggled...Thackeray might come in for one of the latter two. Josh Ryan is listed with a hamstring which leaves our defence vulnerable. I suspect Sinderberry (our leading goal kicker) will have to go to defence and Corbett to come into the side.
You've got to give it to the coach - we are undersized and had 1 player out there with more than 50 games experience, so a great result.
2 wins and a draw from our last 4 games, I'm calling that a hot streak.

There were also 3 clutch moments in the last quarter that went some way to securing the win: Searle's tackle on the outer wing, Sam May's attack on the footy and handball at CHB, and Delahunty's mark in defence. Great efforts under pressure.

Re: Round 2 West v Port
Well done to the lads. I gave them no chance.
16 points down at the 20 minute mark of the last quarter.
They must have played a fantastic last 10 minutes of footy.
Unfortunately the injuries are starting to become a problem.
Ryan and Patterson with hamstrings.
Josh Gore looks to be a long term groin injury.
Hopefully Park and Squire are not far off….
