30 Seconds

The Footy Almanac has just published a small piece I wrote on defenders versus forwards.

That's very true but I would hate to see all players allowed 30 seconds to move the ball on. Would make a very boring game.
Forwards are by and large a blessed species.
If a defender gets 20+ touches holds his opponent to hardly any he still rarely gets in the best players.
If a forward gets 8 touches all day but kicks 5 goals he is in the best players.
Always been like that.
