Nominations Committe and Member Elected Directors

For posterity, here is the progression of Directors since the change of Constitution:

Not reappointed from old Board:

Lee Harradine - Life Member, President for less than 2 years.

Rob Tidswell - Lifetime West supporter, senior banker.

Joseph Masika - Ethnic communities leader.

Kristen Demetriou - not able to attend Board meetings regularly due to work commitments.

Michael Memmler - Lifetime member, now Life Member, total knowledge of the club.

John Levy - Preferred to be Governance Committee Chair.


Appointed Originally.

Murray Forbes - sponsor - President, still in office.

Mark Goddard - Finance Director, new to the Club, still in office.

Jacqui Rose - new to the club, served one term then left. Replaced by Emma Grigson-Gair, new to the club.

Nick Karasoulos - lifetime West supporter and sponsor - did not wish to continue after first term, rep[laced by Bradley Abraham, lifetime West supporter.

Graeme Barton - Life Member, wished to be Football Director for one year, then didn't continue. Replaced by Derek Bonner who served 3 years and was not (did not seek?) re-appointment. Replaced by Chris Schmidt.

Alison Surjan - new to the club, Women's Football Director

Member Elected Directors

First Election:

Richard Sykes - 3rd stint on the Board - President, 2nd term resigned, third term asked to resign.

Troy Abbott - 2nd stint on the Board, first stint resigned, this stint also resigned or chose not to continue.

Kristen Demetriou, previously on the Board, unsuccessful candidate.


First election - Marteine Edwards, new to the club, defeated a lifetime member in an election which, IMO, was impossible for a lifetime member to win.

There have been no elections since, understandably.

Chris Schmidt - added when the quota was increased.

Tiandra Tamiaans - long-time member, added with Chris Schmidt.

Kristen Demetrious - added without an election at the recent AGM.

Football Manager - Andrew Marks, replaced by Wayne Seikman, replaced by Paul Streatfield.

CEO - Ben Hopkins, replaced by Conny Wilson.

Venue Managers, etc - too many to list.
