President's Message

Agree, b&r. She is genuine and there for the right reasons.

Agree with Black and Red.
Underwhelming forum and the club is on its knees financially.
Hard to believe that an oval upgrade is at least 5 years from completion and that is probably going to be longer.
I did enjoy listening to the new Senior Coach.
He is going to back in the kids and only recruit players that have the ability to have an impact at League level. Probably the complete opposite approach to the former coach,……
However, given the talent we have lost and now our Captain has retired, we certainly need some reinforcements…..

For the record, had a meal at the club and it was really good!!
Also, Tim Adams wines are now a sponsor and they are good wines.
Everyone should go and spend a few dollars in the club over the Summer!!!!

Lethal has covered the meeting very well and I have little to add however though I would share just some thoughts.

1. As a general principal I support the right of a President to not immediately answer questions HOWEVER there is a right way and a wrong way to do this. ---- How the President responded to Lethal question came over as a direct attack and created angst among several  members attending. -----In hind sight I am sure he now realizes that he just should have given standard response eg we need to review these issues raise and will respond in due time  --- Rather poor IMO

It is my opinion that KPIs should be for the Board as a whole not individual directors a view the President mention during the meeting.

2. Reference Connie we need to ensure we keep her onboard she is an amazing professional CEO who also ensures she knows all Member and relates to them ----- if we ever lose her then this should be closely followed by sacking the entire board that allowed it to happen!!!!!

It is critical that all Members understand that whilst the Board runs the club in the long term the day by day operations are the CEO responsibilities.

3. It is my long held belief that Adam will make a very good Coach however time will tell

I’m ent to the forum and I also felt is was underwhelming,Murray spoke for far too long. I wanted to hear more from the Financial And Football Directors.
Adam spoke well as did Connie.

Unfortunately I think due to the Economy the Council won’t get the funding for the oval upgrade and that’s why it’s not going to happen for another 5 years, by then we maybe extinct.

A new President's message is up on the website, but it's hardly enlightening.
A very vague set of dot points about the Football Department's aims, no mention of a reduction in our salary cap, and a reminder about the AGM in which he gives the wrong date.

How disappointing. More slogans and everyone's excited about next year on the field.

Why we bother to set KPIs is beyond me.

As for valuing volunteers, ask the many volunteers who have been dudded.

That is a disappointing report, I could have written that and faxed it in and I am a bit ordinary. Tired old platitudes, nothing new and wow, "confidential information". 2 stars from me.

Be nice to know the performance measures on each Kpi along with the strategies planned to achieve those objectives.
