Apart from the spirit of the actual gesture to Mark Mickan involved here, one aspect I particularly love is how someone like Bernie Conlen can come to us during his playing career, from another club, and then become such an integral part of the club off the field, in a way that you usually only see from lifetime supporters or one-club players. What a recruit he's turned out to be.
