RD 6 West v North
Changes for this week?
Beech listed as hamstring tightness on the SANFL injury report.
Therefore will probably not play!
Does Taverner come back for Cleeland?

Re: RD 6 West v North
Taverner should come straight back in, he's our best ruckman.
Chamberlain for Connor Fairlie.
Toss of a coin between Ellem and Cleeland.
Not sure who replaces Beech, I suspect we'll have to play a small forward. Maybe Waite comes in if fit. The only other tall would be Jesse Johnson who is a test and has missed some footy.

Interesting selections.
Cleeland holds on to the ruck slot and Taverner will play in the 2s.
Beech out makes the job even harder on Sunday.
Redfern might mike his debut. He is a goer and tackles well. Hope he gets a shot!

Ellem has played every game this year.
He has kicked 1 goal in five games......
Very lucky to be in the side, I would have thought......

I'm surprised that Taverner wasn't selected. Combating the twin towers (Barnes/Harvey) without him seems unlikely. North may have only won the one game so far, but they have come very close on two occasions against very good sides. North's combined losing margins for the four losses total just 54 pts. North have won the hit outs in each of the five games so far, compared to our none.
We face an enormous task at Prospect tomorrow and although a win is not impossible it is unlikely. It will be very interesting to see how we respond if North get a run on at some stage. It is essential that we start well. North's confidence is probably a bit down at the moment, so it is imperative that we apply the pressure early and continue to apply it.

Re: RD 6 West v North
Got a lesson today.
To be honest, I wasn’t surprised at the result.
We are a bottom 3 side, playing last years Grand Finalist on a ground where we are always horrible.
Good time for a break for our guys. Beech and Lovell should be back for our next game in 2 weeks.
Bartley, Squire, Redfern and Maquire were our better players in the 2s.
Time to promote them and give a few underperforming players a run in the 2s.

Re: RD 6 West v North
The disappointingly large gulf in class between us and the strong sides was evident again today. North made very few errors and moved the ball around the ground with precision. We have too many poor users of the ball to compete with them on that level.
We are 10th in the competition for clearances and again I thought our midfield was overwhelmed today. Some of our poor ball users play in there too. Schiller hadn't had a mark or a kick to half time.
Apart from Keough none of our forwards looked capable of winning the ball. Johnson has had a few quiet ones in a row.
Despite a few bad blunders Anderson played his best game for a long time, and Boyle gave us something, but we had a stack of ineffective players.
I agree with Wolf Pack, hopefully Beech and Lovell return after the state game but time to make a few more changes beyond that.
Just as was the case last year, we are still 6 or 7 good players short of being a good side. Until that changes, not much else will.

Re: RD 6 West v North
We were simply outclassed and the game was over before the end of the first qrt.
We need to change things up especially in our forward line.
