I notice that the Pre-Season Supplemental Selection Period (SSP) closed yesterday - Tuesday. Nicholas Couroupis had been training with Richmond as part of the lead up to this selection process but was passed over - for now anyway.
Is he back at Westies and, if so, what do we know about him?

The club should try and lure Jesse McKinnon away from South.
Can’t make their league team but is a big bodied midfielder and would be a walk up start in our team.
Plus he is the son of the great Robbie McKinnon!

I see that Josh Smihson has signed as a 2021 Development Player for Essendon VFL and has played in their first 2 VFL games.

Astute recruiting is going to be crucial if we are going to be a successful club. Given the new appointments in the football department, I think it is reasonable not to expect a top three finish before 2003-4. If this is the case then six members of the team which beat Norwood will be on the plus side of thirty. These are our most experienced and reliable players. Add in the various AFL drafts and recruiting becomes even more difficult. Achieving an overall balance (age, size, experience) is important to achieve long term success. At the moment we have an imbalance in at least one of these areas. I wish the recruiters the best of luck.
