Re: Recruiting
Going by the vision from his U18 days I'd be looking to play him on ball and up forward. Looks a player.

Aldo, definitely looks like he has some real tricks up his sleeve - like how he attacks the goal front

Re: Recruiting
I read that one of our young players, Nick Couroupis, has been invited to train with Richmond in the lead up to the pre-season supplemental draft.

Re: Recruiting
Turner had his best year in 2020, disappointing he’s decided to move on.
We have recruited a number of players for season 2021, hopefully a number of them can become very good SANFL Players.
Our biggest concern is in the Ruck we don’t have an Experienced Ruckman in our squad.
Secondly we haven’t recruited an experienced Key Position Player and therefore players such as McKenzie and Rana will be given an opportunity to prove themselves and that’s a good thing.
We need to find out if a couple of our young KPP can take the next step.

Re: Recruiting
I believe that Turner wanted a pay increase to be in line with Tom Keough & Kaine Stevens. Whilst Turner this season finally started to repay the Club’s faith in him after being carried for so long, he is not in the same league as Tom & Kaine. His lack of loyalty is disappointing.
I have doubts that he would make Glenelg’s best 22.

Re: Recruiting
Disappointing, but good that the Club made the correct decision, by all reports.
Brett is a good player, but nowhere near our top few.
It means two of our Under 18 premiership team have gone to Glenelg this year.
Also Jack Agostino to Renmark, which is understandable given his injuries.

Re: Recruiting
Beyond disappointing in my view. The club has done everything to support Brett over several years & to dump us for financial reasons in a year where the cap has been reduced to $210K is pretty ordinary.
He has always had a higher opinion of his ability than his performances have demonstrated until last season, where he did improve to become one of our more consistent players.
The problem for him though is that as a midfielder, the team statistics show that we were continually beaten in centre clearances. This of course does not mean that it was all his fault.
My guess is that he has read the “tea leaves” & seen that our football dept in conjunction with the coach have recruited several quality mid fielders & his position may be seriously challenged this coming season. As a result he might be doubting his own ability to win a position.

Slow, doesn't cover enough ground and turns it over frequently. Wouldn't have been in our best 22 and won't be in Glenelg's.

I agree with Mypaspective.
Jono Beech, Mitch McGuire and Kieran Lovell are all upgrades on Turner.

West Adelaide welcomes Ronald Fejo Jr to West Adelaide from the Wanderers.
The speedy wingman uses his pace and skills to do damage through the middle and up forward and took out the Round 4 NTFL Rising Star nomination in 2020.
Ronald’s previous coach Shannon Motlop said, “Ronald’s finding his feet as a league footballer and that includes the confidence and self belief you need at the top level,”
“He’s in his second season of Premier League football and with that has come the ability to run and carry the footy with his leg speed and use it to his side’s advantage.”
West Adelaide Football Manager Wayne Siekman said, “the 19 year old has an elite kick, amazing agility, good speed and has good endurance. He is a great athlete and an exciting talent for 2021. He is keen to improve and see how far he can go with his footy.”
Welcome to the club Ronald.
In other list news, ruckman Stuart Taverner has returned to training at West Adelaide after a change in circumstance which earlier saw him leave the club.
Bailey Chamberlain and Jye Sinderberry who made their debut against Norwood last year have also committed to the club for 2021.
We will also be temporarily saying goodbye to Keelan Laube who informed the players last night that he will be taking leave from the club for personal reasons.

Re: Recruiting
Great news about Taverner, he should at least be competitive against all comers. His first game against Sturt at Unley last year was extremely impressive.
Getting a bit competitive for spots on the wings. Boyle would have one stitched up but guys like Waite, Batley, Haysman and now possibly Fejo, among others, are probably all vying for the other one.

Re: Recruiting
Excellent news about Taverner, we needed a Ruckman and while he’s inexperienced at League level he showed enough last year to say he will be very handy.
Great to see that both Chamberlain and Sinderberry have signed, they will be very important to us.
I hope Laube is ok and that he re-joins the club later this year.
