Would the answer to Question 2 be he's the only West player to play in a SANFL and a VFL/AFL premiership?

I could be wrong, but didnt Robert Day start after '61?
I dont think he played in '61. I'm sure he started in '62

I’m sure you’re correct bloodsaint. Robert Day didn’t play in 1961 premiership. He played in the 1962 GF which we again lost to Port by a heartbreaking margin oF 3 points.

Yes, you're right about Bob Day not starting till '62, and in fact I think Bernie Smith would be the only West player to play in a SANFL and VFL premiership.

Yes, Bob Day played his first game on Anzac Day, 1962.

I think Robert Day played in a VFL premiership with Hawthorn. He wouldn't remember much about it as he was knocked out and didn't resume after half time.
