According to https://westadelaidefc.com.au/inside-west-adelaide/history/debut-dates/ they debuted one week apart.
Saturday, 11 April 1970 GILMOUR, Kevin –
Saturday, 18 April 1970 GILMOUR, Trevor John
I can't recall either, only Gary and he debuted in '73.

One was a rover, the other a tall. I believe that, sadly, one of them died at quite a young age.

Who am I? I played just a handful of League games in the 70s for Westies, more than 150 fewer than my brother did.

From memory Kevin was stabbed to death in England.
His brother Trevor broke his leg playing reserves at Richmond Oval

Re: Quiz
Yeah Lee, John Donaldson. Very talented, and thought he should have played a lot more for us but don't think he was Fos's type of player.

Re: Quiz
There was also a Graeme and Luke, who played much later. I don't remember Graeme or John, but saw most of Robbie's games. Can't remember seeing much of Luke as I was working in Port Augusta at that time.aldo russian wrote:Yeah Lee, John Donaldson. Out of all the games that I saw Robbie play, the one which sticks in my mind was a Reserves game near the end of his career. It was seconds from the final siren and we had a chance to win it with less than a kick in it. Robbie was in the square with an opponent. The ball was kicked in long to the square and looked likely to carry all the way through for a goal. Robbie was using his body to try and stop his opponent from getting a hand on the ball, but was caught in two minds. Eventually, he attempted to mark it, but fumbled it for a rushed point allowing Centrals (I think) to run down the clock. Funny how it's the mistakes we remember, rather than all the positives.

Re: Quiz
Who am I?
I only played a few games in the late 70's, but my surname was also the name of a country.
Who am I?
I played one game for the club in the very early 60's and became President for one year 18 years later.

No, but I've been a bit cheeky about the coach. It was a Reserves Coach.
