Wayne Siekman to the role of Football Operations Manager
The West Adelaide Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Wayne Siekman to the role of Football Operations Manager.
Wayne has an extensive career in sport, both in coaching roles and administration. Whilst working as the Racing Manager at Melbourne Racing Club, Wayne coached in the TAC Cup competition for ten years before leading Victoria’s Metro Youth Girls to two national championships in 2015 and 2016. In 2017 Wayne was appointed as the inaugural Head Coach of the Collingwood AFLW team, a position he held for three seasons. In mid-2019 Wayne moved into a role at Carlton FC as List Manager for the AFLW and VFLW squads.
Wayne was selected from a large and strong candidate pool and is looking forward to moving to Adelaide with his young family to join the team at WAFC.
Wayne will commence at WAFC late January.

Was thinking pretty much the same thing, good appointment on paper at this time.
But player list and lack of recruitment is a major concern going into 2020. Will we even be competetive?
