Goodbye City Mazda Hello Hisense Stadium
New name of Richmond Oval
WORLD-LEADING PROVIDER OF HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCES, HISENSE AUSTRALIA HAS SECURED NAMING RIGHTS TO THE HOME GROUND OF THE WEST ADELAIDE FOOTBALL CLUB.
In a three-year deal, the home of the Bloods will be known as Hisense Stadium throughout seasons 2020, 2021 and 2022 of the SANFL and SANFLW competitions. West Adelaide CEO Ben Hopkins said the club is thrilled to be partnering with Hisense Australia.
“Hisense have been fantastic supporters of West Adelaide Football Club and we are ecstatic to be able to play our home games at Hisense Stadium for the next three seasons” Hopkins said.
Hopkins also said, “Hisense have a focus on innovation and quality which are values that align closely with those of the club. We are proud to partner with a world leading brand and look forward to working closely with them over the next three years.”
Speaking on the partnership, Hisense Head of Marketing, Andre Iannuzzi said, “We are ecstatic to be taking the naming rights and introducing Hisense Stadium to sports fans in South Australia in partnership with West Adelaide Football Club. Hisense is synonymous with sport in Australia and we have a rich history of sponsorship at various levels locally and internationally. Of course, the best way to watch sport is on a Hisense ULED 4K Smart TV or 100-inch Hisense Laser TV. As we continue to invest and grow our brand here in Australia, we are looking forward to working together over the coming years.”
The partnership is in addition to the Hisense Lounge launched in the West Adelaide clubrooms early in 2019.
Hisense Stadium will host its first major event on February 16, 2020 when the Adelaide Football Club unfurl their 2019 AFLW Premiership flag.
West Adelaide would like to thank previous naming rights sponsors, City Mazda for their support over the years. City Mazda will be a key corporate sponsor in 2020 and 2021.
