WEST V South
What are we going to serve up this week?
We have made many changes with players positions and not many seem to have worked.
Have won the hitouts and got killed in the clearances. This needs to change.
People that are waiting for some massive recruiting drive next year are kidding themselves.

Will Rankine be free to play for us or will the U18 timelords prevent it, even though his commitments with them end this afternoon?

Tomorrow afternoon, I think, Aldo.
So I doubt he'll be available.

Re: WEST V South
Can anyone tell us which named team is accurate - the one emailed to us by the club or the one on the SANFL site? The SANFL site says Jack Evans is in and Lachie Evans is out, the club's email says Jack Evans is out and Lachie Evans is still in the squad.

Re: WEST V South
In a great day for the club we won all 3 of our games at Noarlunga on a cold and windy Saturday. The league team won 10.10 to 8.13 in a very well deserved result.
At 3Q time South had a bit of momentum but to their great credit Westies steadied and dominated the last Q. We outworked them and our defensive efforts were magnificent. We didn’t seem to have as much of the ball as South but we just used it better. It wasn’t pretty footy but we got the job done. Well done boys.
Middleton with 3, Keough and Burgess 2 each. Best was Schiller with 33 possessions, Middleton for his marking and Beech for his last half down back when swapped with Burgess. Special mention to Parella. His ruck duel with Brooksby was worth the admission price alone. Players like Josh Ryan and Dustin Head did some terrific work on the last line and deserve a mention.
Rankine didn’t play. Green was very quiet and his fitness could be an issue.

Re: WEST V South
Terrific effort ny the club after an emotional couple of weeks. I thought it was our best game of the year for centre clearances and credit to Andre Parella, Kaine Stevens, Tom Keough and BOG Josh Schiller.
Great coaching by Gavin and we're on the way up.

Re: WEST V South
Another spirited performance by us. Our tackling, harassing and chasing was really impressive. Parella did a really good job against Brooksby, and Schiller, Keough and Stevens were great at stoppages. Schiller's physicality is amazing - he looked like an outside mid/wingman when he first started.
Noble was terrific again. I think he has very quickly become one of our top half a dozen players. His consistency is unusual for a young player. And Middleton always looked dangerous.
The same players continue to frustrate with turnovers though and some are underperforming. e.g. We need more from Wilson, who needs to stop two-grabbing marking attempts and impose himself on the contest more.
And a special mention for Dustin Head's mark in the last quarter. He didn't have a great game but that was a big mark at a crucial time. I think we're a handful of good players away from being a very good side. I hope we give the coach those players.

Re: WEST V South
A very good win yesterday, arguably the best for the year.
I thought we controlled the game for most of the day.
Schiller played his best game for the club. He is a very important player for us who goes under th radar most weeks.
John Noble has had a very consistent year, he works hard and he makes good decisions.
Anderson has also had a very good year considering he has played little footy for the past 2 years.
Keough and Stevens were also in the best players.
Next week is a must win against Centrals.

Re: WEST V South
I think we played good team football yesterday and unlike the last few weeks we played our own team structure.
Reserves and league played for each other and controlled the games all day.
Parrella has been huge for the team.
We will beat Centrals next week.

Great effort by all 3 sides yesterday. Parrella has been a great get. The boys responded to Gav at 3/4. Loving Bloods footy this year

Re: WEST V South
Looking at the draw, it is quite feasible that we could make up the 2 game gap between us and South. If they lose to the 4 teams above them - North, Sturt, Eagles and Norwood, and we beat Centrals, Glenelg, Port and Adelaide, there's the gap made up, even if they win their other two games and we lose them. Percentage may be the killer, unless they also drop a game against Glenelg or Port, or we snare a win against Norwood or Sturt. Maybe there's a bit to go in our season yet.
