We sure do need another ruckman, but I think Cameron is staying in Melbourne.

I would urge our recruiters not to bother chasing a ruckman. Today Adelaide beat South 71 to 19 in the hitouts, but lost the clearances 36 to 39 to South. We should spend our money on 3 key position players and a couple of mids, and just ruck someone like Majok, because it really doesn't seem to matter.

Aldo, i feel this is fair comment --- look at the young bloke who rucked for the power was giving away height and weight but fought to break even in ruck contests but real upbeat to his performance was his around the fielf marking and general play -- we need a big player who can mark around the ground read tim symes, eddy richardson as example

Interesting to see the number of ex West Adelaide players running around Adelaide Oval in today's finals. Jonno Beech for the Crows, Newell and Rankin for South and Lewis and Bornholm for the Eagles. There were even a couple of Westies supporters sitting in the stand.

We have been reluctant to recruit locally in previous years and maybe it's about time that changed. Hardy is possibly the only one currently on our list.

There must be SANFL players around looking for a change who would add some depth to our 2017 squad. They have less impact on the salary cap and are more inclined to stay around for a few years.

Sturt's Dylan Gamble is a case in point. Spent a couple of years down the Bay and started this season at PHOS Camden, just down the road from Richmond oval. Has played half a dozen games for Sturt and is a cult hero already. Would have been handy in our forward line this year.
Sturt also recruited wisely from the now defunct Port Adelaide but we missed the boat.

Too early right now, oldfella.

There's plenty of work being done, but players all wait until the GF's have been played, some until the draft.

Official Club anoouncement on facebook posted 2 hours ago mate (sorry dont know how to copy link)

Good news! Kaine Stevens has signed on for season 2017!

Kaine has been one of our most reliable on-ballers over the last few seasons (averaging 25 disposals and 6 clearances in 2016). We look forward to seeing him in action again next year! #runwiththepack
