It would appear so. Good luck to him!
It is very annoying that Essendon's stuff ups impact other clubs.

Re: Recruiting
As Lee said, a lot will depend on the fringe players taking the next step.
Players like Homburg, Anderson, Klemke, Nelson, Hardy, Favretto...
Would be nice to see a couple of young players take the next step too.
Brind and Watchman....

Crump you seem to be a pessimist. All your comments seem to be in the negative, how a about some praise towards the players and the club. GO THE BLOODS IN 2016.

Errin will have surgery on a finger on Monday.
He could miss about half of the season.
We're hoping he'll be back well before finals.

They would need special AFL approval as he is not within their current recruiting rules. Needed to have been on an AFL list in the last two years.

Very impressed with some of our new and up-and-coming players at training and in practice sessions.

Re: Recruiting
Reading between the lines it may be that we have dodged the Essendon bullet.
They can sign 10 top ups. Kelly and Crowley are signed with Stokes (Geelong) and Simpkin (Hawthorn) to come per the Age. They also note - Matt Dea (Richmond), Mark Jamar (Mel) and James Polkinghorne (Bris) are strongly rumored if not already signed but not announced.
They are also concerned about their key positions and so are considering Sam Grimley, Matt Watson (WA), Ayce Cordy and Peter Faulks (Williamstown).

Re: Recruiting
I was just reflecting on our recruiting this year and taking into account the late start due to the premiership i feel we have again recruited quality, potential quality agreed, over quantity again.
I feel we will find that the recruiters have done well again ==== time will tell.
What do others think

Re: Recruiting
I think both O'Brien and Stubbs wll be quality players for us.
Unfortunately we were unable to recruit an experienced key defender.
The club did however recruit a young key defender in Josh Ryan,
hopefully he can develop quickly

Re: Recruiting
The backline is our only concern I think.
We won't have any depth in that part of the ground this year plus we have lost Wasley Black.
