WEST v North
Time to change things this week.
Carter to lead the ruck. Will be a good match up on Craig.
Forward line of Hardy, Webby and Keough. Add Beachy and Fisher.
Birss into the middle.
Backline . Who bloody cares. Put Taite on the half bachline and give it to him.
Drop anyone that kicks it 15m sideways.
Time to win a hard one.

Re: WEST v North
I agree with ST that changes need to be made against North.
My team would be
FF HARDY STILL FIELKE
HF BEECH WEBB SILVERLOCK
C BIRSS MACREADIE SCHILLER
HB FSHER MILNE GREEN
FB CAIRE KEOUGH HARTLETT
1stR CARTER TUCK STEVENS
INT BRICKNELL,HILL,NEWELL
IN STILL,BRICKNELL,BIRSS CARTER
OUT THOMPSON NELSON,DIJKSMAN,JENNINGS
I HAVE LEFT THOMPSON OUT AS I THINK STILL NEEDS TO COME STRAIGHT BACK INTO THE SIDE AS HE CAN KICK GOALS THIS MEANS KEOUGH HAS TO GO INTO DEFENCE FOR THOMPSON
I HOPE BRICKNELL IS AVAILABLE AS HE NEEDS TO COME STRAIGHT BACK INTO THE SIDE ASWELL
BIRSS ALSO IS MUST IN HE IS A FAR BETTER FOOTBALLER THAN JENNINGS
I HAVENT SELECTED EZARD BUT IF HE PLAYS HE COME STRAIGHT IN FOR NEWELL AND STARTS ON THE WING FOR WITH BIRSS ON THE BENCH

Re: WEST v North
I think Webby has to ruck. It's a big ask for Tom Carter to lead the ruck, but he is very promising for the future.
Kurt Thompson was BOG last week and I certainly wouldn't omit him. I agree with you about Bricknell and Birss, Lachlan.
It's a must win game, but I'm very confident we can win this one well.

R&B
You are right about Carter. Webb does need to play 1st truck as he certainly has been our best option there all year.
I would just love to see Webby rest up forward and take some marks.
I want Still to play league straight away as we look more dangerous with him up there.
I agree Thompson is stiff to miss out but it was either him or Hardy.
Keough is a great finisher but he isn't a CHF as he isn't a lead up type player nor a strong overhead mark in a contest

Re: WEST v North
Games against Norwood are very different, as they play a very defensive set up.
It will be different against North and Kurt's run will be an asset. That's also why I hope Bricknell plays, as he breaks lines.

Re: WEST v North
Webb, Nelson and Hardy had a combined total of 6 kicks, 8 handballs and 5 marks against Norwood - poor stats for one player, let alone three, so it'll be interesting to see what we do with rucks and talls this week.

Re: WEST v North
Maybe if we kicked it to our forwards they would get more stats.
I remember watching Webby get 21 kicks and 18 marks playing CHB in the under 19s. Getting a kick in Westies forward line is harder than getting kicks in the backline. Harts and Keough are proof of that.

My side
F: Fielke, Still, Hardy
HF: Beech, Hopton, Stevens
C: Schiller Macreadie, Ezard
HB: Hill, Hartlett, Green
B: Milne, Keough, Caire
R: Webb, Tuck, Silverlock
Int: Birss, Dijksman, Fisher.
In: Still, Hopton, Ezard, Birss
Out: Thompson (inj), Nelson, Jennings, Newell (all omit)
Hopton to come in to play lead up CHF. Done that pretty well in the 2s this season. Chop out for 5-10 mins in the ruck when Webby needs a rest.
Assuming Still and Ezard are fit, otherwise Gallard in for Still and Newell for Ezard.
Newell needs to go back to the reserves and find the footy. He has had below 10 possessions a game a few times now and that's not good enough for someone who spends a lot of his time in the midfield.
Hartlett to go to Mitchell, Keough to Obst. Caire to Ryswyk.

Re: WEST v North
I must learn the Injury List is not credible.
This is a better looking team. Sorry for Thompson but these are some great INs.
I'm backing us this week but in the back of my mind I remember feeling exactly the same when driving to Unley a few weeks back!!
I cant help but think....will MM be able to get the boys up this week??

Absolutely pathetic! This team has gone so far backwards from previous seasons. To think supporters were complaining about game plan etc in recent seasons even when we were winning. I found it staggering at the time and really frustrating now.

Re: WEST v North
Really hurts me to say but I left at 3qtr time utterly ashamed.
With Collins you knew what you were going to get. It wasn't pretty but every player on the park gave their utmost.
Complete opposite now. You have no idea what kind of effort or game plan you are going to get.
Wolves and mates...please think hard about the future of the football department this week. I think you all have seen enough to know there is a big risk it is going to get worse.
Things need to change on the park immediately or people put on notice I think. The club needs a unified, decisive board when times get tough.

Re: WEST v North
We have gone back to the dark days of 05-08!!!!
Our coach has a lot to answer for.
Injuries are no excuse for an effort like that today.
It would appear we are playing guys that are not fit or able to run out a game.
Justin Hardy is a Ken Farmer Medallist and at three quarter time had ONE possession.........
Webb should be our ruckman, Nelson isn't.

Re: WEST v North
Luckily I couldn't go today. But when you lose a game by that margin it gets back to the WANT OF THE PLAYERS. It's seems this game was similar to Sturt.
When you lose games by that bigger margin. Questions need to be asked. The players didn't turn up to play today.
Too many inconsistent performances this year

Re: WEST v North
The whole year has been poor right from the start
1.A significant number of players had a LIMITED Preseason due to so many injuries.
We need to ask why this happened
2. We have had a number of injuries during the first 10 games of the year.
3. We had a least 9 players over the age of 26 playing today. This
Doesn't mean our playing list is old. However I think we need to have a good look at the list
For next year.
4.We badly need to Recruit another Key Forward
5.We badly need to recruit another Key Defender
6. WE BADLY NEED TO RECRUIT MIDFIELDERS WITH PACE and WHOS DISPOSAL BY FOOT
IS TOP SHELF
7. Our game style this year is a HIGH KICKING ONE. HOWEVER WE DONT HAVE THE PLAYERS
WITH THE NECESSARY SKILL LEVEL TO CARRY IT OUT

Re: WEST v North
We're missing some players, but this is badically the same team who beat Glenelg by 16 goals only 2 games ago.
We were 5th then and had kicked 21 goals.
It comes down to work rate, skill level and mental application.
Lachlan raises a good point about the pre-season and injuries and that does need to be addressed as a priority. That put us (and the coach) right behind the 8 ball.
Today's effort wasn't acceptable.
